About
Situated at No.1, Market Place in the Old Town area of Bridlington, East Yorkshire, Gallery Forty-Nine occupies two floors of a Georgian listed building and has four exhibition spaces with an exciting range of paintings, sculpture, jewellery and ceramics by contemporary British artists and artisans skilled in their craft. We also have a wide range of work in wood, metal and textiles. We hold regular exhibitions of original work, and also intersperse these with smaller shows by individual artists.
In our Print Gallery, we stock Sir Peter Blake limited edition prints (including prints from the popular 'Homage to Damien Hirst' series), Sir Terry Frost, Barbara Rae and Alan Davie. We also stock David Hockney's Yorkshire poster prints, some of which are rare editions, and a number of limited edition etchings both signed and unsigned, from Grimm's Fairy Tales. We exhibit handmade prints by contemporary artists- linocuts, screenprints and lithographs.
Unframed prints are available to buy from our online shop and can be posted to anywhere in the world. Please ask if you would like a print not currently on show in the online shop.
