'Fragile Enchantments' is selection of paintings and original prints by Rob Moore and Wendy Tate, following a recent exhibition at the Inspired By... Gallery, Moors National Park, Danby.
The exhibition focuses on the Yorkshire landscape, its beauty and increasing fragility, evoking an emotional response in which "the canvas becomes the shared space where the unspoken is exchanged".

Rob Moore
Rob Moore is an artist constantly challenging himself to make drawings, paintings and prints free of fashion and imitation, often working across diverse media.
His paintings and prints are studio-based, although Rob continues to draw and paint directly from the landscape in regular forays in this country and further afield. He sees his sketchbooks as important in continuing to feed his vision, understanding and knowledge of nature.
Rob has a diverse creative history including gallery owner, curator, educator, and lecturer. With Wendy Tate, he currently runs the Alma Printmaking Studios in Scarborough, where the artists share their expertise and facilities in regular workshops.
Wendy Tate
Wendy Tate walks with a camera and/or sketchbook, constantly capturing the day’s mood, drawn to its changing light and reflection. She says: "There is often a sense of the sacred in these moments, and I hope to share that. When painting, I become drawn beyond the image I am using into something almost spiritual, concentrating the remaining painting experience in trying to elucidate those feelings."
Wendy studied painting as a mature student, achieving both a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and a masters degree before embarking on her professional path as an artist and lecturer. She now paints and works as a printmaker full-time, running Alma Studios in Scarborough.
With Rob Moore, Wendy also takes creative workshops out to various venues across Yorkshire, where the artists share their experience and enthusiasm with interested groups of all ages.
